Few Words of Operation

Check in & Check out time of Modern Residency is 1200 hrs. |

North Sikkim Lachung / Lachen operates on package only. All
the Tours starts from Gangtok and ends at Gangtok and is on
Full Board (VEG). |
|
|
|
Once the package is booked and confirmed no refund will be
allowed.
|
|
|
|
Our Executive will contact you
on arrival at Gangtok itself if required. |
|
|
|
Passengers are arriving at Gangtok
directly in that case, be inform that they will
be meeting our Executive at the VAJRA North
Sikkim Jeep Taxi Stand at the exit gate holding
placard in their name / or as advised by you. |
|
|
|
Also it is to be noted that there is a
vehicle-parking problem in the whole area and
most in the capital Gangtok. Most of the areas
are restricted to entry of vehicle & specific
time is allotted for entries. At the time of
departure as well as arrival from North Sikkim
specific time is allotted for entries of this
vehicle. Guests are requested to follow the time
strictly if given to them. Incase of delay,the
vehicle will have to leave the hotel area
without the guest & parked in a parking area
DURING THE START & END of Package. In such our
executive will assist the guest to be transited
in a local taxi, FOR WHICH THE COST WILL HAVE TO
BE BORNE BY THE GUEST
DIRECTLY. |

The vehicle used will be exclusive for that
group but will not be at disposal. It will be as
per contract. |
|
|
|
The area is an up coming tourist destination and
the facilities available cannot be matched to
those available in the Plains / Metros and other
developed destination. |
|
|
|
In this area all the hotels do not have a lift
facility & in all the hotels the guest will have
to climb stairs. Incase of guest having problem
with blood pressure, knee & heart or if they
cannot climb the higher floors, will have to
intimate to us during the time of booking so
that we can block, rooms at the lowest floor of
the hotel enabling the guest to climbing the
minimum number of stairs possible. This
information is also important so that we plan
their visit to the high altitude area
accordingly. |

Sikkim is a hilly area & change is weather is a
regular happening. |
|
|
|
It is advisable that light layer clothing should
be carried always. In winters it is advisable to
carry heavy woolen. |
|
|
|
Landslide is a common happening in hilly area.
Expenses incurred for diversion, due to this or
any other reasons will de collected directly as
per actual. |

Note : That North Sikkim is blessed with
Natural Beauty. Accommodation at Modern
Residency, which is the only star rated best
accommodation in the entire North Sikkim region,
but has very basis facilities like |

The Bathrooms are having
Showers & Geysers, but
due to electricity problem so warm water at most
times will be provided in buckets,
hot water pad
in the bed. |
|
|
The food prepared will be fresh, by the local
trained Sherpass & not by Hotel chef. |
|
|
The services provided are by trained local
people not by Management Institute personnel. |
|
|
Be inform that many of times there is a
problem of power failure. |
|
|
In a hilly area scarcity of water is a big
problem. Everybody buys water for their
day-to-day living. Guests are requested to cope
up with any such problem faced during the tour.
To overcome this problem at time we have fixed
time of supplying hot & cold water. |

Note :
En route diversion via Dikchu
which will be of 02
- 03 hrs extra
while driving in or out from North Sikkim
Highway and if required due
to unforeseen calamities,one has to pay
directly to the driver at the spot an amount of INR
1200 INR
1700 per vehicle which varies from
case to case. |

Phodung & Labrang visit experience en
route is kept OPTIONAL which will be of 01 hrs
while driving in or out from North Sikkim
Highway and if interested one has to pay
directly to the driver at the spot an amount of INR 500 INR 800 per vehicle which varies from
case to case. |

|
Yumseysumdong, Katau & Gurudongmar Lake
excursion is kept OPTIONAL & is subjected
to availability of permit which is available on
prior information and at times on the spot.
These are three different points & is NOT
ADVISABLE to guest having problem with
blood pressure, knee & heart. |

Yumeysamdung & Katau is two different
spot located al Lachung area. Visits to this
places one has to pay directly to the driver at
the spot an amount of INR 1500 - INR 1800 per
spot per Vehicle which varies from case to case. |

Gurudongmar is located
at Lachen area. Visit to this one has to pay
directly to the driver at the spot an amount of
RS.2500 Rs 3000 per Jeep which varies from
case to case. |
